<aside> 💡 Short answer questions are used for students to type in a short response (just a few words) that can be automatically graded. The instructor will insert acceptable answers and points earned, are based on whether the student’s response matches the answer(s) the instructor provides.

“Category” field: This option allows you to add this question into a question bank. This is beneficial if creating pools of questions to generate quizzes from. For more information on creating and using question banks contact the office of digital teaching and learning.
“Question name” field: This is used to identify each individual question, which can be useful for editing the questions later or adding them to question banks.
Example: Type a question name such as “Question 1" or “Q1”
"Default points” field: Enter the number of points this question is worth. If needed, this can be changed later.
“General Feedback” field: This area is used to provide general feedback related to the question only. The feedback entered in this field should not be specific to the answer the student provides. General feedback is optional.
"ID number” field: This is not needed. Skip this step.
